Effective ways of Presenting data using Graphs

Why we need graphs?

It is basically used to convey some message. 

There are different ways to convey the message. Important elements are:

There are lot of data happening around us. It has no meaning, untill we take meaning at it. 

The same data which is the raw transaction level thing, the meaning out of it is the information. We can take or extract the information as needed and available from the data. 

Whatever data is available, there will be an audience who need the data. 

A typical example of reporting, :- Describe AS-IS. 

Benefit : - It can be used for further analysis by other teams. 

Highlight only the information that is needed. 

An example of story telling - It is a vast thing. 

Visualisation- Picture, 

Big difference between story telling and Visualisation is we use graphics or pictures. Tablue is a great tool.

Using Graphs:

You can change, play around, going to Format Chart area - using red is a strict No. 

Normally - Clustered column for comparison between Actuals and forcast etc. you can change, by righ click -) Change chart type.  You will be able to see all the fields.
